We will be holding a group wide promise renewal at 5:00pm on Sunday 21st April in the garden of Berrylands Scout Hut.

The founder of the Scouts, Lord Baden-Powell, designated St. George as the patron saint of Scouting as he set a good example of faith, courage and perseverance. Scouts from around the world will renew their promises on and around St George’s day and remind themselves of what it means to be a scout, a member of the largest youth movement in the world. It is an expectation that all young people will make every effort to attend this event.

In addition to a promise renewal, we invite members and their families to attend a early evening event including games, a picnic and campfire.

The event will be held in the garden of the Berrylands Scout Hut. The schedule for the event is as follows:

4:00pm – Gates open. Garden open for games and picnics. Parents requested to assist with setup of tables / gazebos as needed.
5:00pm – Promise renewal ceremony
5:20pm – Campfire – marshmallows / hot chocolate provided.

The end time for the event will likely be weather dependent. If it is a nice evening we will continue a little longer than if wet.

Please bring your own picnics / refreshments. The group will only be providing marshmallows and hot chocolate for the campfire.
